Meet the FIT Friends

We help you learn how to be fit. Being fit means you do these four things.

1. Make healthy food choices
2. Move your body
3. Learn about your feelings and mood
4. Recharge your body with rest

I'm Abby, and I love to dance. I like to twirl and spin! I make up my own dances. That makes me happy! Dancing is good for your body and mood.

I am kind of a picky eater. I like chicken nuggets and jelly beans! But candy and nuggets aren't very healthy. I am trying to eat more fruit. Apples are a sweet, healthy choice. Apples give me energy to dance!

Hi, I'm Alex! I am tall and a big boy. Sometimes the other kids call me "fatty." I don't like being teased. It makes me mad, and sometimes I cry. Talking to my mom helps me feel better.

I love superhero video games! Mom says I need to get up and move and play more. To move more, I pretend I am a superhero and run and play in my yard.

My mom says I am a brave eater! I will try anything. I will try Chinese food and sushi. I'll try spinach and blueberries. You name it! My favorite food is tiny tomatoes.

My name's Samantha. But everyone calls me Sam. I am full of energy and don't like to sit still. I love playing outside and soccer and horses!   

I like foods I can eat with my hands! I like BBQ chicken and burgers. I like watermelon and corn on the cob. But my all-time favorite thing to eat is a banana with peanut butter. YUMMY!

I don't like going to bed! I want to keep playing! To help me calm down from playing, I look at books with Mom. Sleep gives me energy to play tomorrow.

I'm Marty. My friends call me Smarty Marty. That's because I know a lot about what foods are healthy for you.  Like, did you know eggs are good for your brain?

I love basketball! One day I am going to be a famous basketball player! I'm super-fast! While my friends are inside watching TV, I'm outside working on my speed. I love it when my friends turn off the TV and come outside and run and play with me!

I like to play and be busy. So I need to rest and relax, too. Relaxing is healthy. Relaxing gives my body the rest it needs to be strong. I like to read to relax.

I'm Denny. I'm the littlest guy among all the FIT Friends. I love apples. Apples are a fruit, and fruits are good for me. I like pizza, too. Cheese pizza is my favorite. Apples and cheese pizza together is my favorite lunch.

I love to laugh! I know a lot of jokes, and I like to do silly dances and sing silly songs. Having fun and laughing makes me feel good!
