It's always important to eat well and stay active so you’ll feel good and your body will be healthy. Remember to:
Eat veggies and fruits. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Ideally, you should try to have at least 5 servings of veggies or fruits every day. Mix up kinds and colors to make sure you don't miss important nutrients.
Decrease sugar. Avoid the empty calories in sugary drinks and sodas. Instead, drink water or reduced-fat milk.
Limit screen time. Get away from that TV, computer, or phone and get active! Too much screen time means less time moving. Limit screen time -- television, computers, video games -- to 2 hours a day or less. In addition, eating while sitting in front of the TV or on the computer is a common habit that will be reduced when screen time is limited.
Move your body. You need to get at least 60 minutes of activity a day. It doesn't have to be all at once, so walk, run, or bike whenever you can.
